Inclusion fuels innovation. That's why LexisNexis Risk Solutions is committed to fostering a workplace where all employees are respected, valued, and have equal opportunities. A key part of our diversity, inclusion and belonging (DI&B) strategy is supporting people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to be themselves at work. Our businesses and people are doing great work to build a culture of inclusion, safety and respect through our Pride, PROUD, sexual orientation and gender identity Employee Resource Groups and events like PROUD Experiences.

Join us in celebrating Pride as we shine a spotlight on the unique perspectives of our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and allies worldwide. This year's theme, "Reflect. Empower. Unite.," inspires us to reflect on our progress, empower our community, and unite in our commitment to inclusion. By sharing our colleagues' stories, we aim to foster understanding and continuous improvement across LexisNexis Risk Solutions.

For me, Pride is a great time to ensure that LGBTQ+ identities are at the forefront. That visibility, and a celebration of that visibility, carries through the rest of the year, because it's empowering for now and for the future. It also enables people to accept themselves for who they are and to have that acceptance supported by our workplace culture.

When I start a new job I am always determined to come out as soon as possible so that, for others, it is part of my identity right from the start. I did just that when I joined in July 2017. I am able - and, indeed, encouraged - to contribute to our explorations of DEI and my experience is clearly valued. I feel like I belong because of that and feel lucky to work in such a wonderful team.

I gave a talk to the Proud ERG about a discovery I made about my great uncle's identity last year. After my grandmother died I found a series of photos that told the story of his life with a man with whom he was clearly in love. I know that something did not work out and that he died a lonely man. Telling that story and feeling the love and support of the group as we talked about it was an incredible experience and I think telling such stories can strengthen us and generate a deep and genuine empathy.

In our workplace, Pride Month fosters an inclusive culture, encouraging everyone to bring their authentic selves to work, which strengthens our team and drives innovation alongside acceptance. Celebrating Pride Month at LexisNexis Risk Solutions allows me to reflect on past workplace experiences. I'm so glad I work for a company where I'm not trying to use gender neutral language because I'm fearful the pronoun I use to describe my partner might cause me to be treated badly.

I feel psychologically safe to admit I am bisexual and that I'm neurodivergent at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. I have never felt like a curiosity for my differences, instead there is clearly a focus on where our identities intersect and the shared lived experiences many of us have regardless of our sexuality.

Pride Month allows individuals from marginalized groups to shine and display true love to others in the community and our allies. I am glad to work for a company that supports us and allows us to be involved in the decisions that impact us. Every day, month, and year, the struggle for equality continues, but I believe that one day people will truly see us for who we are: kind, loving human beings.

As co-chair of the Proud ERG, I feel empowered to provide communication to our colleagues and to encourage others to get involved. This role has allowed me to be a change agent and to speak on behalf of our company, showcasing the support we receive both within and outside the organization. Our senior leadership team is actively involved on the front lines to ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging. Their visible commitment and proactive engagement make a significant difference in creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Pride month is significant to me as I came out before Don't Ask Don't Tell was removed and Gay marriage was legal in all 50 states. Being out and Proud during that time period was a really difficult thing. Having a recognized month dedicated to being your authentic self is amazing, especially being celebrated in my work place.

The extensive amount of inclusion and resources available through LexisNexis Risk Solutions is so empowering. The sense of belonging and support makes being an LGBTQ+ employee feel less like a label and more of something I can be proud of and celebrate with others in the company. The amount of love and acceptance that is given during our PROUD meetings is really amazing.

As a gay man and a Product Manager at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, Pride Month holds profound personal significance for me. It's a time to celebrate the progress we've made in LGBTQ+ rights while acknowledging the ongoing struggles and challenges faced by our community. Within our workplace culture, Pride Month serves as a reminder of the importance of diversity, inclusion, and equality, fostering an environment where all employees feel respected, supported, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day.

Working at LexisNexis Risk Solutions, I feel empowered by the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion. One example of this empowerment is the establishment of LGBTQ+ employee resource groups and allyship programs, which provide a platform for networking, support, and advocacy. Personally, I've seen how these initiatives have positively impacted colleagues by creating a sense of belonging, fostering open dialogue, and driving tangible progress in workplace policies and culture toward greater acceptance and equality.

Pride Month reflects on struggles for all of us to be our true authentic selves without fear to conform to societal or workplace norms. Our workplace culture supports the ability to celebrate our identities and reinforce our commitment to fostering true inclusion and belonging.

One moment that stands out as a strong sense of unity within our company was the overwhelming participation in several Pride walks in both London,UK and Atlanta, Georgia. To further strengthen our LGBTQ+ community, we have increased educational initiatives and opportunities for open dialogue to bring more allies into the conversation. Fostering greater awareness and unity will allow us to drive positive change within LexisNexis Risk Solutions and influence broader inclusion efforts across the board.

Pride month is a reminder of how far we have come in our fight for equality both in the workplace and the wider world. However, it is also a stark reminder of how far we still must go, and how prejudice still exists.

For me, being authentic and living authentically, is the only way to live. People underestimate how life saving being your true self can be, and by starting that in the workplace, LexisNexis Risk Solutions offer a safe space to those wherever they are on their journey!

When I hear people say "Why do we need a Pride month?", my response is always, it would be nice if we didn't need one however the way transgender people are treated in the world, we need it to raise awareness. Pride month allows us to hear stories about about the transgender people that went before us. As a transgender woman, I would be lost without Pride month.

Working at LexisNexis Risk Solutions allows me the freedom to be myself in the workplace. There are no limitations in what I can do and achieve. It is a great feeling to have respect from my colleagues for who I am. One of my favorite events where I feel a strong sense of unity within our company is volunteering at Pride Atlanta. My colleagues and all the people I meet at those events just really make me feel good about who I am.
