There is a unique power in giving. Offer your time, your voice, or your expertise, and you gain something equally meaningful: perspective, gratitude, connection, hope. It’s a quiet but profound exchange that happens every day across LexisNexis® Risk Solutions, as colleagues choose to support the causes and organizations they care about. Their efforts create brighter futures for others while renewing their own sense of purpose in the process.
That is the essence of LexisNexis® Risk Solutions Cares and this year’s International Women’s Day theme, 'Give to Gain'. Here we shine a light on six women whose volunteer leadership shows that giving is not only an act of service but also a pathway to growth - proving that when we lift others, we gain something immeasurable in return.
Krystal Brown
Director, Fraud & Identity Market Planning, US
For Krystal Brown, service has always been central to who she is. “Finding a way to give back has been an important part of my adult life,” she says. “When I began working for LexisNexis Risk Solutions 10 years ago and I saw the value they placed in community, it was a natural fit for me. I love the impact we have in the local communities we serve and the difference we make.” From 5K races supporting Habitat for Humanity to polar bear plunges, creating gifts for the elderly and championing scholarships for second-chance students through her nonprofit, she believes that “more hands, make light work.”
But the impact is not just external. “Each activity I participate in feeds my spirit,” she explains. “Giving to those in need and gaining purpose is the best kind of selflessness there is.” For Krystal, generosity is transformative – strengthening her personally and professionally by reminding her that her gifts are meant to be shared.
“Communities thrive when people care,” she says. “Playing that role as an individual makes a positive ripple but when organizations like LexisNexis Risk Solutions jump in the results are magnified with much greater impact.” Her advice is simple: “Just jump in. The most important part is to sign your name and show up.”
Angela Sanchez
Field Sales Support Representative, US
“Having the opportunity to support your local community with the backing of the company truly inspired me to participate,” says Angela Sanchez. Her involvement spans food drives, fundraisers, cultural events, women’s initiatives and LGBTQ+ support programs. A defining moment came when she was nominated for and won the “Recognizing Those Who Care” trip to the Philippines. “The experience was truly amazing and inspiring.”
For Angela, the theme “Give to Gain” is literal. “It truly encapsulates the essence of our efforts and emphasizes how much we gain when we give,” she says. “The joy on their faces and the realization of the difference we make, even in small ways, is incredibly rewarding.” Volunteering fuels both connection and growth.
“Volunteering is a fantastic way to build both your personal and professional network,” she explains. “It's a win-win situation where you get to give back to the community while also growing as an individual.” When she talks about her workplace, she highlights LexisNexis Risk Solutions Cares first – a reflection of the values that drew her here.
Christina Chua
Senior Executive Assistant, APAC
“I’ve always believed small acts of kindness can create real change,” says Christina Chua. That belief found a home when she took on the APAC Cares Champion role. “The shared purpose resonated with me - giving back feels accessible, collective and deeply human. It reflects the spirit of International Women’s Day: lifting one another and growing stronger together.” What she values most is connection. “What stands out most for me isn’t the activity itself, but the connection it creates: with colleagues, with the community and with the bigger purpose behind what we do.”
Her list of activities proves that contribution can be as varied as our skills. “Some recent experiences include fundraising for the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation’s Christmas party for over 500 children, creating virtual flashcards on waste segregation, building lanterns with seniors during a Mid‑Autumn celebration and hand‑making pouches for Singapore Cancer Society volunteers.
“To me, 'Give to Gain' is about the quiet exchange that happens when you give without expectation - and still walk away enriched. LexisNexis Risk Solutions creates space for people to bring their whole selves to work - not just their skills, but their values too.”
Karolina Iwaszko
Senior Director of Product Management, Global Fraud Analytics, UK
“Digitization opens plenty of opportunities but it also comes with enormous risks,” says Karolina Iwaszko. Working in fraud prevention, she began asking what happens when online threats affect our own families. That question led to a partnership with Childnet International. “This partnership is about turning our professional expertise into personal action,” she explains.
Through Cares events, teams have helped create educational materials and volunteered time to make the internet safer for young people. Thanks to funding and engagement, Childnet reached over 2,000 children and young people in just one academic year. “When we offer our time, skills, and compassion to others, we receive something far more meaningful in return. Volunteering reminds us that generosity is not a transaction, it’s a catalyst for growth.”
“Through serving others, I’ve gained a deeper sense of purpose,” she reflects. Giving back, she says, strengthens both who we are individually and who we are as an organization – building a more connected, compassionate society in the process.
Alesha Mosley-Jiggetts
AVP, Technical Optimization, US
“My inspiration stems from purpose,” says Alesha Mosley-Jiggetts. “I feel giving back to others is a duty as a fellow human being.” A breast cancer survivor, she participates in awareness walks and fundraisers, supports food pantries, engages with the ADAM Program and champions initiatives that connect communities facing food insecurity with local charities. “Each activity that I participate in has a direct and personal connection to me and keeps me humble.”
One experience remains especially powerful. “Children’s faces lit up as they received their gifts. The hugs that followed were priceless, a powerful reminder that giving back truly matters.” Moments like these reinforce her belief that service changes both the giver and the recipient.
“Giving back leaves no room for selfishness. It is a responsibility rooted in recognizing and responding to the needs of others,” she explains. Through service, she finds herself fulfilled emotionally, spiritually and mentally, shaping how she shows up both personally and professionally.
Trish McCall
Sr Director and ADAM Program Co‑Founder, US
For more than three decades at the company, Trish McCall has paired purpose with innovation. “The opportunity to help co-found the ADAM Program, a technology-for-good initiative aimed at helping find missing children and reunite families, has been profoundly fulfilling.” Her advocacy extends through partnership. “I have participated in and championed various volunteer and fundraising activities supporting the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the non-profit which uses the ADAM Program in its mission to help bring missing children home safely.”
“The concept of 'Give to Gain' resonates deeply with me. Volunteering and giving back have been instrumental in both my personal and professional growth throughout my career. It has become a part of me, allowing opportunities to develop new skills, build stronger relationships with colleagues and business partners who all share the same passion to give back to the community and make society a safer place for our children."
Trish also sees giving back as core to our identity. “Giving back to communities and society is essential, both as individuals and as part of an organization like LexisNexis Risk Solutions. It defines who we are as a company which fosters a culture of empathy, collaboration and corporate responsibility.”
