At LexisNexis Risk Solutions, we invest in future talent by providing interns with opportunities to gain hands-on experience, solve real business challenges, and build skills that prepare them for successful careers.
Through our Summer Internship Program, interns work alongside industry professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain exposure to careers in technology, analytics, product development, business operations, and other key functions.
We collaborate with organizations that share, reflect, and motivate their staff to practice allyship daily.
Our commitment to inclusion involves collaborating with industry experts and organizations that support everyone globally.
Beyond their project work, interns are encouraged to fully engage in the Risk Solutions experience. Interns have opportunities to participate in more than 30 Employee Resource Groups, Lunch and Learn sessions with executive leadership, networking opportunities with leaders, and learning and development sessions that support their professional and personal growth. These experiences provide a holistic view of the organization, foster meaningful connections across teams, and help interns feel welcomed, included, and valued. By immersing interns in our culture, people, and purpose, we help them develop professionally while gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to build a career at Risk Solutions.
THE EARLY CAREERS PROGRAM
Summer Internship Program
The Risk Solutions Summer Internship Program is an enterprise-wide, 10-week experience that provides interns with meaningful, hands-on work aligned to real business needs. Interns contribute to impactful projects while gaining mentorship, professional development, and exposure to senior leaders. Through networking events, learning opportunities, and cross-functional collaboration, the program helps interns build valuable skills, expand their professional networks, and explore future career opportunities. It also serves as a key talent pipeline for identifying and developing future talent across the organization.

This internship was the perfect opening to adapt my learnings from college to real-world applications. It allowed me to learn about new technologies from experienced individuals in a practical setting.
The pottery & painting studio was the first intern event where I got a chance to talk to the other interns in an environment that was less professional and to truly find my footing with them.

“I had to learn how to use SmartView in Excel and learn how
to extract data from our data cubes to build a report for the business. I didn't expect to learn the basics. I enjoyed relearning the simpler things like what my LinkedIn should look like, resume tips, and general career advice that reinforces confidence.
I've become very proficient with the internship program and its benefits.
The highlight of the program has been being able to work with such a great team/company and learn by getting the exposure interns don't typically get in a classroom. The initial audience
of my project is the finance team but it can expand into market planning and sales.
A takeaway is you can't accomplish everything on your own, it's necessary to work with multiple people to get to the result.

“Some of the highlights of the summer internship were being in a great work environment and getting to meet other people who have similar goals as mine. The internship events have helped us to get to know one another and connect with all of the other interns.
Key takeaways include having the opportunity to apply what I've learned in school and applying it to real-life problems. I realized the value of networking, how to build your brand inside and outside the workplace, and the importance of staying organized.
I had to learn how to use PowerBI, but I love it. I never used PowerBI before, but I was able to learn this new platform and develop comprehensive dashboards. I would say I am at a much higher level of skill, confidence, and understanding than when the program began. I did not expect to have to input and export so much data for my project. In the beginning, it seemed a bit overwhelming. However, I overcame it by managing my time well and taking needed breaks.
The internship allowed me to see the corporate world and how we should carry ourselves to be successful. I think this internship provides college students with valuable experience in different fields while also immersing them in a lively, welcoming environment.
